She was born March 25, 1919, in Liberty, Idaho, to Clem and Martha Poulsen. She and Walter W. Boehme were married October 20, 1936 in Paris, Idaho and on December 12, 1938 they were sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in several places, including ranching in Montana before making their home in Utah in 1950. Afton and Walter owned and operated the Boehme's Service Station together in Hooper until their sons took it over in the late 1980's. Walter passed away 12 years ago. Afton continued to work at the station until the week before her death. She is survived by her children, Gerrald (Feliciana) Boehme, Roy: D uane Boehme, Hooper; Beverly Martin, Oregon; JoAnn (Kent) Richardson, Riverdale; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Eulala (Claytor) Petersen, Sandy; Eula (Leon) Larsen, South Ogden; and Norine (Hal) Jensen, South Ogden. Afton was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, Merlyn and Micki Rae, a sister, Zora Petersen and three brothers, Rex, Perth and Keith Poulsen. Graveside services will be held Monday, June 13th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hooper City Cemetery, 5290 South 6300 West.
