She was born Nov. 17, 1956, in Montpelier, Idaho, to O.W. Hymas and Elaine Haddock. Patty lived a full and wonderful life surrounded by friends and family, never taking advantage of all the experiences that life had to share. She was raised in Ovid and Pocatello, Idaho, and attended school in both places. After finishing school Patty went to work as a waitress. She married Tim May in 1975 and had two beautiful daughters from this marriage. She was later divorced and then married Brian Marshlain. They had one son together. Brian was killed in a car accident in 1985. Patty and her children moved to Paris in 1987, and she married Wayne Haddock on April 18, 1992. Together they spent time in Paris and in Tucson, Arizona. She loved to plant wild flowers and decorate her house. Patty was very dedicated to her children and loved them very much. She also loved her mom and dad, brothers and sisters because she was very full of love and compassion. Patty is survived by three children, Trisha May of Montpelier, Kimberly Bentsen of Ogden, Utah, Floyd Marshlain of Montpelier, two grandchildren, Shauntel Nielson and Taegen Sparks, her father, O.W. Hymas of Montpelier, her mother, Elaine Davis of Paris, Idaho, four brothers, Steve (Charlotte) Haddock of Pocatello, Gene (Patty) Perkins of Paris, Kim (Kathy) Hymas of Ogden, Utah, Jeff (Kathy) Perkins of Pocatello, one sister, Andrea (Tony) Pinson of Paris. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Haddock, one sister, Cindy Hymas Bentsen, one brother, Michael J. Haddock, and her second husband, Brian Marshlain. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 28, at 1 p.m. in the Paris Ward Chapel where friends may visit with family that day from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. The interment will be in the Bloomington Cemetery in Bloomington, Idaho, with services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary in Montpelier.
