Ora was born at Paris, Idaho, on February 26, 1912. She was the daughter of Milando Pratt Rich and Clara Elnora Koefoed and a grandchild of Charles C. Rich. At birth she weighed less than three pounds and wasn't given much chance to survive, but she was a fighter and grew into a healthy child. Two other siblings died in infancy, while a sister and two brothers survived. Ora graduated from Fielding High School and LDS Seminary, then attended Utah State Agriculture College for two years. She married Lester Floyd Bunderson on January 11, 1935, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was a railroader, and they made their home in Montpelier, Idaho. They had four children, a daughter and three sons. Ora was active in all of the church auxiliaries, beginning as an organist in the Primary when she was 13. She served in the Primary in the Montpelier Fourth Ward, the Montpelier Second Ward, on the stake Primary board for six years. She also taught in the Mutual and Sunday school in the Second Ward. When she took her boys to Mesa, Arizona for a year to see if their health would improve, she also served in the Primary there. When the Montpelier Fifth Ward was organized, she was called to be second counselor in the Relief Society, then later was called to be the president. During the time she served, she helped many people who couldn't help themselves. She served as secretary for the Lady Trainmen for many years. She was also active in the Literary Club and the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers for many years. Ora was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lester Bunderson, daughter, Carolyn, sons, Paul and Lynn, brother, Blaine Rich, sister Thelma Heiner. She is survived by a son, Floyd (Joan) Bunderson;, seven grandchildren, Jeffrey (Hiroko) Bunderson, Camille (Troy) Ochsenbein, Leslie (Brian) Stewart, Bryce (Holli) Bunderson, Trent (Desiree) Bunderson, Ted (Renee) Bunderson, Dale (Jessica) Bunderson; and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2007, at 1 p.m. in the Montpelier Stake Center. There will be a viewing at 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. prior to the service.
