She was born September 4, 1923 in Montpelier, Idaho, daughter of Nathaniel J. and Dora L. Snyder. She was married to Eli Clifton Fowers January 3, 1941 in Farmington, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized January 27, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She has resided in Clearfield for the past 33 years. She has kept active throughout her life. After her retirement as a checker at Smith's Food Store in 1985, she has continued serving her community through volunteer service at Ogden Regional Hospital, the Clearfield Senior Citizen Center and as a Davis County Senior companion. She maintained her home throughout her life. Her interests included gardening, socializing and sharing meals out with family and friends, along with fishing as often possible. Her children and their spouses are: Mary Ellen and Les Eswards, Clinton, UT, Diane and Richard Mabey,Dan and Suzie Fowers, Doug and Nadine Fowers, all of Roy, UT; and Bill Fowers, Draper, UT; brothers and sisters, James Richard (Mary) Snyder, Lena (Marlin) Imes, Elaine (Dieter) Ewert, Bruce (Treava) Snyder, Linda (Michael) McCowen, Martha (Les) Greenhalgh; and a special friend, Richard McCowen. She has 17 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, one sister, Priscilla Wheeler, one brother, Keith Snyder, and one baby daughter. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 30m 2006m 11 a.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th St. Ogden, Utah. Family and friends may call on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the services at the mortuary. Interment at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park.
