He was born March 28, 1964, at Soda Springs, Idaho, the son of Harold (Hap) Franklin and Ann Hollingsworth Spencer. He was raised and educated in Grace, graduating from Grace High School. He had also lived in Battle Mountain, Nevada, for 10 years, and in Georgetown for the past six years. Tony married Leslie Mickelson June 1, 1985, in Niter, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple. He had been employed at Simplot, in maintenance since 2000; he had also worked for Echo Bay Minerals as a maintenance worker and welder. Tony was an elder in the Georgetown LDS First Ward. He had worked in the Scouting program for many years. His first love was being a cowboy and spending time with his wife and children. He enjoyed horses and going on roundup. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Spencer; two sons and one daughter, Chance, Kyle and Jennifer, all of Georgetown; his mother, Ann Spencer, of Grace; three brothers and one sister and their spouses, Leon and Maxine Spencer, Battle Mountain, Nev., Kim and Cindy Spencer, Cody and Marla Spencer and Jackie and Don Barthlome, all of Grace, Idaho. He was preceded in death by his father, Hap, two brothers, one nephew and a brother-in-law. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, December 11 at noon at the LDS Williams Ward Chapel in Niter. Friends may call on Sunday evening, Dec. 10 at the Sims Funeral Home in Soda Springs from 6 to 8 p.m., and on Monday at the Niter chapel from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Lago Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Sims Funeral Home.
