Parrish, 92, of Boise passed away Saturday, July 16, 2005 at a local care center. A graveside service will be held today, Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Dry Creek Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, Ustick Chapel Bernice was born Dec. 13, 1912 in Montpelier, Idaho to Fred and Maude Berman. She was raised in Kemmerer, Wyo. and Glenns Ferry, Idaho. She attended college at Albion Normal School. On Jan. 1, 1933, she married Ernest Parrish in LaGrande, Ore. in a triple wedding with Art and Gladys Steele and Ed and Verna Caron. They lived in Nampa after marriage. In 1945 they moved to Eagle and started Boise Valley Meat Packing Plant. They moved to Boise in the 1970s. They had two children, daughter Stanlee and son John. Bernice was an active volunteer, serving on the Eagle School Board, and was at the front desk at St. Alphonsus for 20 years. She enjoyed needlepoint and bridge. Bernice is survived by her daughter Stanlee (Don) Miller of Boise; son John (Jackie) Parrish of Boise; grandsons Mark (Jenny) Miller of Eagle, Craig (Deborah) Parrish of Roslyn, Wash., Curt Parrish of Seattle, and Chris Parrish of Phoenix, Ariz.; and great-grandchildren Erin (Paul) Henderson, Eric Miller, and Lannon, Madison, Lars, and Lena Parrish. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Marion and brother-in-law Henry Allen, an! d grandson Dr. Jeffrey Miller of Scottsdale, Ariz. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
