Surnames: Carey Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/hd.2ADI/1733.1.1 Message Board Post: Unfortunately the date is what I am trying to clarify for George F. Carey. The following is from my notes. Because there is a descrepancy on when the son Edgar Carey was really born I can only conjecture when George might have died. A paragraph from Delia Carey Middleton's (George's wife) obituary states the following: "Mrs. Middleton was a native of Princeton, Maine, and came to Idaho with her husband George Carey and their son, Edgar, first locating in Montpelier. It was there that Mr. Carey passed away, leaving the young widow and 16 year old son." If Edgar was really born 1879 then Mr. Carey's date of death would be 1895. If he was born earlier his date of death would be 1889. An 1890 reconstructed Census lists George Carey with property in Montpelier .
