About the Oregon Trail in Idaho. My grandparents moved from Saline County, Mo near Arrow Rock, (A ferry there took travelers across the river where the Trail was.)From that area, they went to LaBett, Kansas, where two of their sons were born, then later they ended up at Moscow, ID which is just about where ID and WA meet. Maybe that will give you a clue. I had not realized the Oregon Trail actually went to Idaho but recently saw a map showing that the trail went there, then south to Oregon, etc. Good Luck! My grandparents eventually farmed land near Troy, ID and raised family there. There is wonderful, productive land in the Palouse area around there. Many people homesteaded there or got land grants....and their descendants still live nearby.
