Idaho has made available at the Idaho State Historical Society all death records from 1911 - 1950. Additionally, they have on microfilm death records through 1937 (I think that's the last year). Death records prior to 1911 are at the county level, if they exist. Death records after 1950 need to be ordered through the Dept of Health & Welfare, Vital Statistics. The cost is $10 and can only be given to direct descendents. Go to: www.state.id.us and find DHW. I will be glad to do look ups on the 1911-1950 index and, if the death cert is at the ISHS, will make a copy and check for an obit.
