Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Alden-Waggoner Chapel, Boise. The Rev. Steve Wolff of the Kuna United Methodist Church will officiate, with lodge rites provided by the Rebekah Lodge. Burial will follow in Dry Creek cemetery, Boise. Mrs. Coomer was born May 14, 1908 at Rogers, Ky., a daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth Brewer. She grew up in Kentucky and Wisconsin, and married William L. Coomer in 1927 in Kentucky. They moved to Orofino, Idaho, in 1940. She lived in Peck, Idaho, from 1942 to 1970, when she moved back to Orofino. She moved to Kuna in 1983. She was active in the Rebekah Lodge in Orofino and Kuna, for 46 years, was a past noble grand and active in the Past Grands Club for many years. She was a member of the Kuna United Methodist Church. Mrs. Coomer enjoyed her work with the Rebekah's, and quilting. She is survived by four daughters, Dolores Wood of Kuna, Emy Lou Volkers of Pocatello, Beulah Wood of Garden Grove, Calif., and Lorellia Wood of Boise; three sons, William Coomer of Boise, Richard Coomer of Elk River and Jack Coomer of Boise; a brother, Robert Brewer of Oak Ridge, Ore.; two sisters, Toots Adams of Lewiston and Beulah Miles of Kooskia; 22 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, William; a brother, Strather Brewer; two sisters, Bessie Adams and Dessie Brewer; a grandson; and a great grandson.
