Recently I published a website http://poorhousestory.com intended to be a clearinghouse for information about all 19th century American poorhouses. Poorhouse records have proven to be a valuable and previously largely untapped source of information about many people who may have been otherwise undocumented in the records we more commonly search to climb over our BRICK WALLS!
