Hello List, Lillie F. or Lillian F. Jackson. Here's all I know of my Lillie: She married May 10, 1920, St. Maries, Benewah Co, ID, to John DePonty. According to a copy of their marriage license and marriage certificate, LILLIE F. JACKSON lived at the time of her marriage in Plummer, Benewah Co., ID, and John lived in Spokane, Spokane Co., WA. Witnesses: G. W. Allen and Mrs. G. W. Allen. Lillie Jackson is listed on my mother's birth certificate in 1922, as age 19, born Kendrick, Idaho. At that time, she lived in Spokane, WA. Extracts from a few city directories (Spokane): 1921 DePonty, John & Lillie clerk W. 1121 3rd 1924 DePonty, John P. & Lillie laborer S. 152 Pine My mother has an older sister, who at birth may have been named Ruth DePonty. About 1925, Ruth and my mother, Betty June, daughters of John P. DePonty and Lillie F. Jackson, were given out for adoption. However, since I was able to get an original copy of my mother's birth certificate, I believe her adoption either fell through the court's cracks, or never legally occurred. In any case, she was living with Mr. & Mrs. Fred C. Halverson/Halversen in Spokane, and they changed her name to Dorothy June. In my baby book, under Gifts to Baby, one of the names jumped out at me and I am wondering if this is Lillie Jackson, remarried: Lillian Parker. Since I was born in 1943, it makes sense Lillie would have remarried by then. Also, it seems my mother's parents must have known where and how to get in touch with their daughters, because my mother says she and her sister met their natural father in 1942 after he called them at the Halverson's home. If you recognize any of this information, please contact me. Thank you, Karen Foster Montgomery
