I am interested in the surname Barker in Idaho from the 1930s on to the current day. My great grandparents were named Benjamin Howland Barker and Miranda Thierman Barker - they were married in 1870 in Wisconsin. Not sure when they went to Idaho or when they died. My great grandmother was alive at some time during the 1940s I believe. Also they had a daughter named Josephine, who I think was Idaho with them. Thanks for any attention. Deborah Jorgensen

I was married to Dale Birkinbine back in the late 1970's. He had two brothers and their names I believe are David and Mathew. He also had two sisters one I remember having the name Carol. His father's first name is Louis but they called him Dale. He married a young woman in 1980 and they had one child together that I know of. His ex-wife lives in Tacoma. I hope that this info helps you. The Dale I was married to went by the name DJ. It is unknown at this time where he is living. I do know that a few years ago he was living in Maine. Sincerely Shirley

He was born March 1860, possible in Illinois??. He married Laura Bell Forrister in Elko, Nevada on August 25, 1893 and the marriage license stated he was from Idaho. There was a Mrs. M. H. Miller that was a witness, as well as a Mrs. G. Moody. William and Laura moved to the Santa Maria, California region about 1895. There is a possibility that he was born something other than Miller and his mother may have changed his surname to match hers, because I've heard there was a step-uncle living in the Santa Maria, CA area during this time (1895) who's name was John Miller. Please e-mail me if you have ANY information on William Morris Miller. Thank you very much.

Hi, I hope that someone will be able to help me with my research on the Brown family. My gguncle Oliver Brown was born in January 13, 1856 in Pike Cnty., Illinois. He married Emily Frances Cox on Aug. 13, 1882 in Harrison Cnty., Iowa. Oliver Brown passed away on Oct. 5, 1905 in Preston, Franklin Cnty., Idaho and is buried in Ogden, Utah. I would like to find an obituary for Oliver Brown and wonder if anyone would know the name of a newspaper that would have been published back in 1905 in Idaho that might have had Oliver Browns obituary in it. I would like to find a death record but it is my understanding that the state of Idaho did not start keeping death records until about 1907. Thank you. Sandy (in Maine)

I recently discoverd an old photo (late 1800's to early 1900's) in my aunt's photo album. The back is labled: Idaho -My sister Mattie, grandfather James Berry and James Berry Walter - Shack where we lived. The photo is of an old man with beard and a young boy, standing in front of an old shack, holding a fish. A young person is peering out of the window. James Berry may be James Alexander Walter. This is the first time I've seen an indication of my Walter and or Berry family line living in Idaho. The GenExchange New York Emigrant Savings Bank project website has been named Family Tree Makers website of the day. The website located at http://www.genexchange.org/esb/index.cfm is the brain child and ambition of Monica Bennett, who has been working endlessly to transcribe the original records from microfiche. Called the single most important genealogical source material for New York City discovered this century, the New York Emigrant Savings Bank, opened in 1850 and run by Irish immigrants, for Irish immigrants, contain records for emigrants from California, Michigan, Florida, upstate New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Alabama and Missouri and are a true treasure trove of information. The records, being painstakingly transcribed by Monica Bennett, are some of the most sought after genealogical source materials, particularly for the New York Metropolitan area.. These key genealogical resources are sure to unlock mysteries for anyone looking for an emigrant ancestor who might have emigrated through New York. The records contain details about the place, date of birth, relatives, as well as military duties the emigrant might have had in the United States, and much, much more. Please help me in congratulating Monica on a job well done!! Monica can be reached at Genexchange@genexchange.org Regards, GenExchange Staff
Perhaps one of the most interesting of genealogical records are biographies. The GenExchange has a large and well established biography project underway, where you can find over 30,000 biographies. If you are interested in viewing those biographies that are available please visit http://www.genexchange.org/biobin.cfm. Regards, GenExchange Staff

I am looking for someone who would be willing to do something for me. I am willing to pay. I need someone to look in the Caldwell Tribune for July 1958, for pre-arranged events for the name of Rogness. By pre-arranged I mean, Marriages, funerals, family runions, graduations, births. I am looking for my fathers family. He never spoke of them. And in July 1958 , he took my mother and oldest brother to Caldwell Idaho. He cried in the truck on the way there. He told my mother he wanted to move "back" there. And was looking for work. But at the end of the week , he said "I can't find anything lets go back." He left my mom and my 11 month old , Older brother (I as no born yet) at a hotel/motel and went out everyday. She does not think he was looking for work and neither do I.
