I have a few Charlie/Charley Summers' but no matches. I'll keep an eye open. I live in North Central Idaho, so I'll show you what I have... Do you know if he migrated any where else? I show a Charles H. Summers b: Apr 1880 in Kansas, father's birth place, MO, mother's birth place: Kentucky. I have married to a Susie E. Summers, born Oct 1882 in MO, her father's birth place: OH and mother's, OH. This information was listed on a 1900 Nez Perce County Census. Charles is considered head of household. He is listed as being a farmer in the precinct of Big Eddy, which is along the Clearwater River. Also, I have an index to Nez Perce County Records of Death in Idaho. They show these people buried at this cemeteries: Charley-Normal Hill ( In Lewiston, Nez Perce Co., Idaho) Elizabeth-Normal Hill, Golda (Gifford, which now may be considered in Clearwater County), Henry-Gifford, Janet-Normal Hill, Lucille-Normal Hill, Phebe-Gifford, Susan-Normal Hill. Let me know if you would ! like me to look into these any further...
Lisa I live in Boise and have offered to do lookups at the State Historical Society. A death index for Idaho from 1911-1950 has recently been made available to the Society. I will be spending Sat at the Society doing lookups for folks and will add your request to my list. There is an Idaho Death Index that covers the years 1911-1932. It can be accessed by going to www.familysearch.org and going to lower right hand side to search the library catalog. Do a "place search" and put in Idaho. Then check in the vital statistics area for a film #. This number is for a film that can be ordered and viewed at your nearest LDS Family History Center. There is also a link on that same page to find out where the centers are. Good luck Elaine in Idaho
Hello List: I have found record where Icyminda 'Minda' Jane Turnbull Carsner (sometimes spelled Casner) is buried in the Westmond Cemetery, Bonner County, ID but no dates are given. Minda (b.7-1851 IA) is the wife of Warren M. Carsner (b8-26-1850 IA). Her birth month/year is from a census record. I have yet to locate the death date/place for Warren (husband of Minda). I have located them on the OR census records for 1880, 1900, 1910 in OR but since Minda appears to be buried in the Westmond Cemetery, it appears they left OR and went to ID (many members of the family did jus that). Are there published records (cemetery books or death index) available for ID or Bonner County? I am endeavoring to identify the dates/places for the death of Minda and her husband, Warren, in ID? Any suggestions, information appreciated. Liz Freeman In OK!

Idaho has made available at the Idaho State Historical Society all death records from 1911 - 1950. Additionally, they have on microfilm death records through 1937 (I think that's the last year). Death records prior to 1911 are at the county level, if they exist. Death records after 1950 need to be ordered through the Dept of Health & Welfare, Vital Statistics. The cost is $10 and can only be given to direct descendents. Go to: www.state.id.us and find DHW. I will be glad to do look ups on the 1911-1950 index and, if the death cert is at the ISHS, will make a copy and check for an obit. I do not charge for my time, but ask that you give a donation to the ISHS Gene Library. Thank you--Vicki vebarker@yahoo.com __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! I have an article from the April 1, 1955 Tacoma News Tribune on a 103 year old pioneer who died in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Where would I be able to obtain a certificate of death for this lady? How much do they cost? She was the widow of a "cousin 4 times removed" of mine, her name being Martha Luella (Davis) Alkire, or the widow of William Engle Alkire. The article states he died in or around 1930 and supposedly in Couer d'Alene since it states she had lived there 75 years. Would there be an obituary for him available? Anything that anyone can help me with would be gratefully appreciated. Thank you. Antoinette (Tacoma, Washington) waughtel@oz.net
