Hi Friends, I have so enjoyed this list. I am originally from Fort Dodge, and part of my heart is still in Iowa I have written once before and asked for any information on the Denis McCarty family who settled in the Clare area in the 1860's. I am also searching for info on the Dennis McCarthy family who settled between Clare and Fort Dodge. Dennis McCarthy married Margaret McCarthy in Ackley Iowa. Their 1st son Felix was also born in Ackley and they moved to the Fort Dodge area about 1868. My Grandmother Florence McCarthy Bradford was the youngest of the eleven children.
