A couple of weeks ago, a kind person from the Sweden mailing list sent me a letter stating that the 1870 Iowa Census had a listing for a Hadlund family who was living in Webster County at that time. There were no first names given, just initials: JM, 46 born in Sweden. He was a farmer; AC, 43, also born in Sweden; M, 18, b. Illinois; E, 14, b. Iowa; J, 11, b. Iowa; I, 9, b. Iowa; A, 2, b. Iowa.
