I am sure you can check it out of the library. Margaret L.Posten writes that in 1870 ,near Cardiff,N.Y. a 10 ft long body was dug up and put on display. A Ft Dodge lawyer became suspicious that it was a fake. He knew that in 1868 a 7,000 lb block of gypsum had been shipped out of Ft Dodge, Iowa. The rest of the story is there for you to read. For a time it was owned by the Des Moines Register and Tribune. At the time that she did the writing it was on display at the Farmers Museum, Cooperstown, NY.
