Wayne County Researchers: I am looking to connect my Elizabeth (Highley) Dillon with her proper parents and ancestors. Elizabeth was born in 1816 in VA, (County unknown,) and was living in Monroe County, OHio in 1840 census. Around 1843 she married William DILLON and in the 1850 Monroe County census she and William had three children: Abraham age 6, Henry age 4, and John age 3. About 1855 the family moved to Iowa where they purchased a farm near the Wayne and Decatur border. William died about 1875 and Elizabeth died 4 Sept 1885 in perhaps Wayne County. Does anyone know if there is an obituary file for Wayne county back in the 1880s that I might locate information on the widow Elizabeth Dillon?
