"1980 Funeral services for Etha Morlan, 78, were held at the Wolf Funeral Home, Corydon, Friday. Burial was at the Confidence Cemetery. Etha M. Morlan died June 11 in her home near Confidence. She was born January 27, 1902, in Mystic and was the daughter of Stephen and Leora Jefferie Van Benthusen. She married Everett L. Morlan. Their children are Sara Lee Morlan, Albuquerque, N.M. and Linda La Foy, Oak Lawn, Ill. Survivors also include Larrie La Foy and three grandchildren; Jeff, Jeni and Jill La Foy. She was a member of the Baptist Church, Confidence. After the death of her husband, 19 years ago; she was a house mother at Drake University, Iowa State University and Buena Vista College. A memorial has been established at the Confidence Baptist Church."
