    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Ammons Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Cl.2ADI/199.236.241 Message Board Post: Greetings from Streator, A gentleman in Streator is listing the obituaries that were published in the Streator newspaper. For the Mar. 2, 1888 Weekly Free Press, he lists an obituary for Eli Ammons, aged 67. The burial was made in Barnhart Cemetery. I have one of the tombstone inventories for Bazore-Barnhart and only one Ammons is listed: Frankie P. died 1864, aged 3 yrs, 4 mos, 27 das. Do you happen to know if Eli was indeed buried in Bazore-Barnhart cemetery? What happened to Jane, his wife? Did she die in Iowa? I only have the obituary list to 1889 at home. The 1870 Census lists: Eli, aged 48 and Jane aged 38; with Mary, aged 13; Delia/Della, aged 7; Elizabeth, aged 4; and Joshua, aged 1. The 1880 census list Jane's age as 41, Eli's as 58. Only Della and Joshua were still at home. Mrs. Solomon (Elizabeth) Ammons is buried in Moon's Point with daughter? Lucinda. Joanie Johnson
