I am looking to connect my William Dillon with his proper parents and ancestors. William was born in 1822 in Ohio, (county not known, but perhaps in Monroe County Ohio.) In 1853 William Dillon moved his family to Wayne County IA and purchased a farm. At about the same time he and his wife Elizabeth Dillon donated land for a Cemetery. I would assume it was on the edge of his farm. William and his wife Elizabeth had three sons: Abraham, Henry and John. We think that John died before 1860 in Wayne county. Abraham and Henry married Galpin sisters - Jane and Emmaline Galpin. William died about 1875 in Wayne county. Does anyone have any information on him? Were there obituaries in 1875 there?
