    1. Middlebrook Family of Wayne Co.
    2. Hi Lillian, I have some information on the Middlebrook family in Wayne Co. My GGrandmother was Cora Middlebrook, sister to your Edward. He married Effie N. Greenlee Nov 25, 1886 in Wayne Co. according to Marriage Register of Wayne Co., Bk. 1. There are some minor differences in your information: 3. Joanie b. 1880. I don't have this name. I believe this may be a John Middlebrook who according to his mothers obituary died at age 16. I have seen a date on the LDS IGI for his birth of 1880. He was not on the 1880 census. 6. Nellie A. This is Nellie Alice. According to her obituary, she was born Feb 20, 1878 and died Nov 6, 1942. 8. Aca F should be Asa F. 11. Jennie Mowell is Jennie Howell I don't have much on Edward Noble Middlebrook. According to an article in the Times-Republican, Jan 7, 1904 he was in Idaho. Then he was living in Baker City, OR in 1906. Don't have anything on their children. Steve Kimple skimple@juno.com ps: I live in Texas but have been to Wayne Co. several time researching. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! 3. I am researching my ancestor Dr. Jeremiah Brower 1801-1875. He was a doctor, and Wayne County Judge, and was the first Worshipful Master of the Corydon Lodge, Masonic Temple. I would like to know his years of office as Co. Judge and if he was Judge the day that Jesse James robbed the Bank? Also would like to know if other Brower's were also Masons? Could anyone out there ask at the courthouse for me? Thank you so much for all the help. Lillian Kathleen Martin, Syria

VA. The migation started with Archibald Kirby to Monroe Co. IN. From there to Edgar Co. near Loxey or Paris, IL. They moved to Corydon, IA and lived the later part of their lives with their son Henry Baker Kirb and their daughter Eloisa Freeland from 1867 on. Henry Baker Kirby moved to Wayne Co. nd purchased the present Kirby Farm located in Washington Twp two and three-quarters miles south and west of Cambria in Jan. 1865. Henry and his wife Judith Ann Mayo Kirby had 8 children, Mary, Elizabeth, John Archibald, Laura Lucella, Henry Francis, George Montgomery, Sarah Lufitia, Sedwick and Henry Mayo Kirby. The Kirby farm contained appr. 200 acres of improved land and the two story home erected in 1882 plus the extensive gardens and orchards of their home was one of the finest in the twp. Mr. and Mrs. Kirby were memers of the Methodist Church He took an active interest in the office of township trustees and served as school director. In July 1905 Henry B. Kirby conveyed one acre of the farm to the trustees of Washington twp for a burying ground. He lived on the farm until his death in Nov. of 1922. He is buried in the Kirb Cemetery with his wife Judith Ann beside hi, as are his father and mother, plus many other descendants. A picture shows them on their Golden wedding anniversary in 1904. The car was driven down from Des Moines by their son Sedwick and was the second car to come into WayneCo. The farm has come down thru the family. the farm had been in the Kirby name for over 100 years and Merle received the deed in June 1965 and received the Bicentennial Certificate and Market commenorating the fact that the farm had been in the Kirby name. Sorry there isn't any more about the Mayo family. If you need more info you email me direct. I will look to see if i can find anything else I just notice the Applegate name will look them up and get back to you.
