According to what I received in the mail the other day, DARLING and CORNELL 'family tradition' records that John Brown and his group may have introduced some diseases, I believe tuberculosis, to the area. Joseph CORNELL and some of his daughters died during the fall and winter of 1854. At first I thought it may have been a house fire, but apparently the cause was some infectious disease. I know he was in Wasson or Dayton around that time.
