He leaves a widow and 12 children to mourn his departure; but they have reason to believe their loss is his eternal gain. About an hour before his death, at his request, the 20th chapter of Matthew was read to him. He was for some time a deacon of the Amish Mennonite church. The funeral was very largely attended. Services by the brethren S. F. Miller, S. Gerig and John Gunden from John 11:25.
