Well, folks, the promised marriage files are materializing. The years 1843-1850 and 1884 were uploaded today. The 1884 marriages are a continuation of those published in the Washington County Genealogical Society newsletter that has both the applied for date and the marriage date on most of them. The 1843-1850 ones are from older files and may look strange. All known marriages prior to 1850 are now complete. These were scanned with Omnipage 14 and saved into an Excel format where they were converted to webpages so they would be searchable. It does take about a week or so for the site to be respidered and pull up new material that has been added. For the most part they will look like the original copy. with year at the top and month and date to the left. http://www.rootsweb.com/~iawashin/1843-47wmarr.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~iawashin/1848_50wmar.htm http://www.rootsweb.com/~iawashin/1884wmar.htm Norma Jennings --------------------------------- Get your email and more, right on the new Yahoo.com
