    3. Here is a recent email message I sent to Carolyn Russell, cknuth@charter.net. She lives relatively close to me in Oregon on the beautful central coast. Carolyn, Thanks for sending me the material on Jabez and the family. I was wondering about so many deaths in 1854. Very interesting stuff. I had no idea John Brown was that far north. One of my distant cousins was a part of his group. Anytime you are in Salem, just let me know and we can get together. My grandmother and great-aunts (even my dad) remember Jerome Harvey DARLING. He died in 1955 I believe. According to what my grandmother had in her family genealogy records, Nacy's maiden name was ENGLISH. Of course, this could very well be wrong. For years Jabez and Nacy were recorded as Jalig (or Zalig) DARLING and Axie ENGLISH. I am glad someone had the research because it has been frustrating me for years. Aaron

    3. Hi Aaron, I am interested in the story of John Brown and the deaths in 1854. I know he was in Wasson or Dayton around that time.
