HOLMES Mrs. T.M. HOLMES, 86, died at 10:30 p.m. Friday, May 15, 1959, at her home in Crawfordsville. She had been in her usual health until two days ago. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the United Presbyterian Church at Crawfordsville, with Rev. E.C. Williams in charge. Burial in the Crawfordsville Cemetery. Minnie Myrtle HARRIS was born March 27, 1873 in Mankato, Minnesota, a daughter of Joel and Nancy GRAHAM-HARRIS. She was reared and educated in Creston and married there February 1, 1899 to T.M. HOLMES who died May 10, 1955. She taught in country schools near Creston and Crawfordsville before her marriage. She was a member of the United Presbyterian church at Crawfordsville where she had lived for the past 55 years. Survivors include five daughters; Lillian HOLMES of Estherville, Mrs. Irene ARTHUR of Ainsworth, Mrs. Aletha MILLER of Ames, Mrs. Florence WHITE of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Alice HOLMES of Des Moines; one son, Robert HOLMES of Crawfordsville; seven granchildren and six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert HARRIS of Washington State.
