McGINNIS, 88, who died Sunday, April 4, at Mercy Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. McGINNIS lived in Washington for several years and was employed as a telephone operator there. She was born January 8, 1894, in Ottumwas, a daughter of Joel A. and Matila BENNE-MORRETT. She graduated from the Irish Business College in Iowa City. She married Joseph O. McGINNIS on August 15, 1916, in Davenport. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy McGINNES and Mrs. B.F. (Lois) HORRABIN, both of Iowa City; a son Joseph of Flushing, Michigan; five granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Walter (Kathryn) McFARLAND of Columbus Junction and Mrs. Marvin (Martha) CLINE of Silvis, Illinois.
