Union Charles Clayton NICHOLSON, 47 of Mt. Union died at his home Monday July 2, 1962 of a heart attack. He was born at Washington, December 27, 1914,the son of Charles Edwin and Minnie Grace LAUDERMAN-NICHOLSON. He married Hazel JOHNSTON at Washington, May 6, 1937. He was a member of the Mt. Union Baptist Church. For the past nine years he was an employee of Conco Engineering, Chicago terminal at Burlington. He is survived by his wife; six daughters, Mrs. Don (Joyce) LONG Mt. Pleasant, Janet Sue, Judy Jill, Joan and Jewel all at home; three sons, James, Burlington, Robert, Mt. Pleasant and Eddie at home; four sisters, Mrs. Sam LAMBERT, Washington, Ruba SWARD, Galveston, Texas; Mrs. Ralph BEATY, South Bend, Indiana and Mrs. Ruth DERBY, Tucson, Arizona; four brothers, William, Lockridge, Stephen, Mr. Union, Robert, New London and John Oak Ridge, Tennessee and three grandchildren. Services were held Thurdsay at 11 a.m. CDT in the Baptist church, Mt. Union. Burial in Trinity cemetery.
