Funeral services were Wednesday afternoon June 13, 1962 at 1:30 in the Powell Funeral Home at Wellman with the Rev. R. D. McDonald of Prairie City in charge. Burial in the Wellman cemetery. Mr. CROSSETT was born in Washington County July 15, 1911, a son of Joseph and Fannie WADE-CROSSETT. He was educated in the Wellman schools and in 1932 at West Chester was married to Esther STUMP. They farmed in Washington and Iowa counties and moved to the present home four years ago. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include his widow; *six children Duane of Columbus Junction, Gary Thomas of Keota, Thomas of Columbus Junction and Douglas at home, 10 grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Fannie CROSSETT of Wellman; three brothers, Carmi of Downey, Merle of Wellman, Joseph Jr. of Princeton, Kentucky; three sisters, Mrs. Harold GRAY of Kansas City, Kansas, Mrs Wayne LAMBERT of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Jay MILLER of Wellman. *NOTE: I transcribe word for word. It seems that two of his children were not listed in the obituary. I do not have this information. My appologies.
