Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4 in the West Union Mennonite Church in rural Parnell with the Rev. David Boshart and the Rev. Helen YODER officiating. Burial will be in the West Union Cemetery. Visitaition will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Powell Funeral Home in Wellman, where the family will be present on Saturday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday. A general memorial fund has been established. Mr. YODER was born Dec. 10, 1941 near Wellman, the son of Lester and Carrie (SLAUBAUGH) YODER. He married Pearl HUNSBERGER on Nov. 27, 1965 in Perkasie, Penn. Mr. YODER attended the Franklin rural school and graduated from the Iowa Mennonite School in 1960. Mr. YODER grew up in the Wellman community, then worked as a milk tester in Holmes County, Ohio from 1963 to 1965. He farmed in the Wellman community since 1966. Mr. YODER was a member of the West Union Mennonite Church and the Johnson County Dairy Testing Association. Mr. YODER loved being on the farm tending to his dairy cattle, and it was especially meaningful for him to help with this year's harvest. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Renae YODER of Goshen, Ind., two sons, Marlow YODER and wife Jenny of Kalona and Karten YODER and wife Jessica of North English; three grandchildren; and four brothers, Carroll D. YODER and wife Nancy of Harrisonburg, Va., Wilbur YODER and wife Helen, Milford YODER and wife Edna, and Galen YODER and wife Gloria, all of Wellman. He was preceded in death by his parents.
