He had not been well for several years and seriously ill since February. Mr. STIRLING came to the United States in 1912. His home had been in Ainsworth for 17 years and 58 years in Washington County. Born May 1, 1888 in Belfast, Ireland, he was the son of John and Margaret GIRVEN-STIRLING. he was reared in Belfast and married Georgina McCARTNEY of Belfast on December 29, 1908. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Ainsworth. Surviving are his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Jean) PEARSON and Mrs. Duane (Georgina) WHITE, both of Ainsworth and one son, Robert STIRLING of Columbus Junction; three grandchildren, Tom STIRLING of Columbus Junction, Janet STAFFORD of Fort Polk, Louisiana and Joe WHITE of Washington; a sister, Mrs. Margaret HERRON of Belfast, two brothers Bob STIRLING of Belfast, Ireland and RIchard STIRLING of Brighton, Massachusetts. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, one son and one daughter. Funeral sevices were held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Karl Megchelsen and Rev. John H. K. Moffett in charge. Casket bearers were Larry Trotter, Hubert Redlinger, George Stout Sr., Bill Roberts, Gary Stewart and Max WHITE Sr. Burial was in Elm Grove cemetery at Washington.
