LEFFLER, 82 dies Arthur R. LEFFLER, 82, of Burlington, died at the Burlington Medical Center Wednesday afternoon, November 22, 1981. He was born April 27, 1899, in Washington County to George S. and Nellie Katherine HOUSEAL-LEFFLER. He married Dorothy BIRKHOLTZ April 15, 1936, at Kahoka, Missouri. He was a retired mechanic who worked for Hawkeye Motor Company and Auto Body Company. LEFFLER was a member of St. John Catholic church, Knights of Columbus, Eagles Lodge and Burlington Gymnasium. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Jerry of Arvada, Colorado, Thomas and Michael, both of Burlington; daughter Linda PFEIFF of Burlington; two brothers, Homer of Tulsa, Oklahoma and William of Columbus Junction; sister Lorene HUMBLE of Marshalltown; and 12 grandchildren. Services were held Monday, November 16, at St. John Church, with the Rev. Donald Redmond officiating. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
