NOVY of Riverside, 58 years old, died September 27, 1983 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Services will be Friday, September 30 at 3 p.m. at St. Mary's Church in Riverside. Rev. Thomas MOHR will officiate. Visitation will begin Thursay noon, September 29, with the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Sorden Chapel, Riverside. Burial will be in the Riverside Public Cemetery. She was born December 25, 1924 in Washington County, the daughter of Ernest and Agnes NOVAH BOWMAN. Her marriage to Dale NOVY took place December 6, 1944 at the Holy Trinity Church in Richmond, Iowa. She was Posmaster at Riverside, belonged to NAPUS and VFW auxiliary. Survivors are one son, Dennis of Conesville, one daughter, Linda BURKART of Ely, Iowa, four granddaughters, one brother, Robert BOWMAN of Hills and one sister, Mary Ann KUTCHER of Oxford, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Pallbearers are James HARTSOCK, Ted HARMON, Clayton WINGLER, John WINGLER, Bill PUTMAN and Eldon NOVY.
