They arrived in Washington Co., IA before 1840. David died and in 1848 Rebecca married John THOMPSON, a widower, born in NJ. He lived in Highland Co., OH, and came to Iowa with his 3 children between 1845-1848. John and Rebecca had 4 children; the eldest, William Henry THOMPSON married Sarah Melissa MC MILLIAN 1 Oct 1869 in Johnson County, IA. I have quite a bit more on the THOMPSON descendants.
