Brown, 92, of Washington died Tuesday, April 23, 1985, at Washington Care Center. Services will be Thursday at 2PM at Eden Funeral Home with the Rev Robert Schultz officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery and visitation will be from 7 to 9 PM today at Eden Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to the Christian Church or Washington Care Center. She was born Oct 25, 1892, in Keokuk County to John and Catherine Booth Palm. She graduated from Keota High School and taught rural school for three years. She married Clarence brown, Mar 23, 1915, at Fairfield. Mrs Brown lived most of her life in Washington County and was a member of the Christian Church and past president of Rebekah Lodge. Survivors include her widower; three daughters, Josephine Mullikin and Leila Mullikin of Brighton, and Virginia Paxson of Packwood; four sons, Doyle and Clarence Jr. of Washington, Kenneth of New London, and Dale of Jackson, MO; 26 grandchildren; 47 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Eva Fosdick of Marion. She was preceded in death by two brothers, seven sisters, a son and three grandchildren.
