Richards, 59, died this morning, Dec 14, 1973, at University Hospital in Iowa City. Mr. Richards was born near Ainsworth, Jan 30, 1914, a son of Hal and Eva Ruth Franklin Richards. He was married Aug 10, 1935, to Opal L. Hesseltine. Surviving are his wife; four children; James, Joseph, and John and Mrs. George (Janet) Shelman, all of Washington; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Boyd (Martha) Sanders of Keota.
