Louisa Beard, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Matthew Beard, was born Oct 1, 1846, in Harrison County, IN.,and was married Oct 6, 1868, to John Jacobs. They came to Washington County immedieately after the marriage. Besides her husband; Mrs. Jacobs is survived by five children; Mrs. Lewis Baker, Mrs. P.W. Davidson, Mrs. C. A. Davidson, Mark Jacobs and John Jacobs, all of whom live in this community. there are 27 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Jacobs also leaves three sisters and two half-brothers. Mrs. Mary Jacobs of Washington is a sister, and the others are residents of Indiana.
