Howell, 78, of Washington, died Thursday, June 25, 1987, at University Hospitals in Iowa City. Geneva Florence (Shebeck)Howell was born in Washington County on Jan 31, 1911, a daughter of John and Rebecca (Baker)Shebeck. On May 9, 1931, she married Lawrence Howell in Iowa City. Her husband died on July 24, 1983. Survivors include one son, Everette L. of Letts; two daughters, Barbara (Mrs. Roger)McAllister of Mt Union; Beverly (Mrs. Thomas)Murphy of Miles; six grandchildren; one brother, Alvin Shebeck of Washington; two sisters, Mildred Cunningham and Harryette Kroger, both of Salem, OR. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
