He was born in Clay Community Nov 6, 1881, the son of Alonzo and Josephine Nelson Brown. He married Vera Hoover. He is survived by three children; Mrs. Maxine Giese, Galesburg, IL., George Brown of Davenport, Mrs. Clifford Atkins, Fairfield; his mother, Mrs. Josephine Hendricks and a brother, Clarence; and a sister Mrs. Frank Parcell of Fairfield. His wife died several years ago.
