Thompson, 77, a life long resident of Washington County, died Tuesday, Feb 18, 1975, at the Muscatine Care Center. Carrie Belle Baker was born in Havre Community of Washington County Nov 22, 1897, a daughter of Lewis and Laura Jacobs Baker. She was married Dec 19, 1916, to John Patterson. He died Jan 30, 1931, and on Oct 13, 1942, she married C.H.A. Thompson. He preceded her in death Jan 29, 1974. Surviving are three children; Mrs Harold (Rosella) Moore, of Mt Pleasant, Mrs. Irvin (Esther) White of Columbus Junction, and John William (Bill) Patterson of Washington; two brothers, Howard and Sam Baker both of Washington; and three sisters, Mrs. Arthur (Alice) Pagitt, Mrs. Rebecca Butler, and Mrs. Naomi Kephart, all of Washington; three grandchildren; two great grand-children; one step-son, Charles Thompson of Champaign, IL. One daughter, Betty, is deceased.
