Paxson, 72, of Packwood, died at 9:32PM Tuesday, Oct 31, 1989, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield. Mrs Paxson was born Oct 10, 1917, near Brighton, the daughter of Clarence L. and Clara Palm Brown. She grew up in the White Oak community near Brighton and moved to Packwood in 1947. She married Seth E. Carris June 22, 1937, in Des Moines. He died April 10, 1973. She married Merle F. Paxson May 17, 1982, in Cedar Rapids. Surviving are her husband; a son, Keith Carris of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Linda Boswell of Denton, Texas, Diana Koontz of Des Moines; her father of Washington; nine grandchildren; a stepdaughter, Phyllis Robison of Richland; four brothers, Doyle and Clarence Jr. Brown., both of Washington, Kenneth of New London, Dale of Jackson, MO; two sisters, Josephine Greene of Eldon, and Leila Mullikin of Brighton.
