Mr. Trier was born May 28, 1900, in Washington County, a son of Joe and Anna Palm Trier. He was married Jan 4, 1922, to Cora Baker in Keota. Survivors include his wife; two daughters; Mrs. Marion (LaVone)Kerkove of Ankeny; four sons; Joe of Washington, Verle of St Elmo, IL., Robert of Des Moines, and Dennis of Mingo; 24 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; and one sister, Mrs. Ralph (Marjorie) Sondag of Keota. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son.
