Hesseltine, 79, died Saturday, July 9, 1983, at the Long Term Care Unit of Washington County Hospital. Rolla Samuel Hesseltine was born Sep 11, 1903, in Washington County, the son of Grover Cleveland and Alice Baker Hesseltine. Mr. Hesseltine never married. Survivors include three sisters; Mrs. John (Naomi)Custer, and Mrs. Bert (Hazel)Hahn, both of Washington,and Mrs. Opal Maahs of Salem OR., one brother, Floyd Hesseltine of Washington, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Glenn.
