It is possible that he had studios there, but in those days, multiple branch offices were not common. I am related to D. S. Cole who had a studio in Washington, and his son Maurice C. Cole (see his picture) http://sjcook.com/trains/colerich/cole0000.jpg who was also a photographer in that area. I have many of his snapshot negatives, but none of his professional work.
