I don't recognize the Farrier name, but it is very possible that he was named for ancestors of the same name. Here's how it goes for us: Dempsey Gatlin Sr. born about 1750 Chowan River, NC Dempsey Jr. born about 1782/84 NC, died 1854 Washington Co., Iowa married Sarah SAUNDERS Hardy Allen Gatlin born 1810 TN married first Catharine Gates, 2nd Elizabeth Crawford born 1833 McCoupin Co., IL died 1893 Carthage, MO. Their daughter: Sarah Rebecca Gatlin born 1860 Greentop, MO married John L. LONG born 1852 Atamwa?, IA. Both of them died in Richmond, CA. There are several Dempsey's and Hardy's (Hardisty) in the family. Dempsey Sr.'s other children were named: Hardisty, Isaac, James, Edward, Rebecca and Jesse. Dempsey Jr's other children were named Sinia Lucinda, Nathan B., James, George W., Isaac, Dempsey and Sarah Ann. As for the Curry, I'd have to know Martha's parents names.
