I've got Maxwells in Washington County from about 1793, migrating there from what is now Adams County. They married into Laird, Brownlee and Craig families but we have several where we don't know to whom they were married. There were seven sons born between 1750 and 1768 in Adams County, and 48 grandchildren of Henry Maxwell m. Agnes Carson, most of whom were born in Washington County/Brooke WV/eastern Ohio .
