I am not related to Mrs. Hawkins and have no further information. Funeral services for 82 year old Irene Ruth Hawkins of Ainsworth, Iowa were held on Wednesday, April 19 at 10:30 am at the Ainsworth Community Church, Ainsworth, Iowa. Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 18 at the Stacy-Lewis-Funeral Home from 4 - 8 pm. Irene died Sunday, April 16 at the Washington County hospital. A memorial has been established for the Shriners Children's Hospital. Burial was in the Oregon Township Cemetery. Irene was born June 28, 1917 in Ainsworth, Iowa to Robert and Katherine Klockenga McFarland. Irene married Blaine Hawkins, September 25, 1939, in Kahoka, MIssouri. Irene had worked at Burlington Medical Center as an x-ray Aide for 12 years. Irene was a member of the Ainsworth Community Church, Ainsworth, Iowa. Irene is survived by a son, Terry Hawkins and his wife Angie of Rockwell City, Iowa. Irene is also survived by two grandsons, Jeremy at Lake City, Iowa and Jason at Rockwell City, Iowa. Irene is survived by two brothers, Donald "Jack" McFarland of Ainsworth, Dick McFarland and his wife Bebe of Ainsworth, and three sisters, Phyllis Lopshire of Ainsworth, Wilma Humphrey and her husband Dale of Minot, NOrth Dakota, and Delores Coleman and her husband Ben of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. Irene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter Barbara, and five brothers, Bill, Robert, Walter, Lloyd, and James.
