I don't know how our lines are related. My gggrandmother was Jane Laughead who was married to Thomas Godfrey. They immigrated to Mercer county Il.around 1843 from Ireland with Jane's brother Thomas Laughead and his family and possibly another sister. The Godfreys' moved to Washington, Ia. approx. 1870 along with their sons and their families. We don't know why they all left and moved to Washington. Possibly family ties? Debbie
