I know he was still alive in 1911 when he escaped from the Mt Pleasant assylum. After that we have no info on him. Im trying so hard to find his burial. My grandmother is now 97 and wants to be sure he has a stone. Grandma says she remembers being told he died in Washington Iowa. Please check all cemetery records.
